We are proud to release the 2022 Venture Capital Executive Compensation Survey Report!
‍
2022 was very exciting for us at Pave. One of our biggest accomplishments was the acquisition of Option Impact and the VCECS Survey. Historically, this VCECS Report provided VC firms and participating companies with one easy, central repository to access market compensation benchmarks in a single Excel file. At the time of the acquisition, we decided to rely on our revamped Executive Compensation tool to provide real-time access to this data instead. Why go back to spreadsheets when you can use a much more modern tool to get the same data?
‍
As we improved the Pave product over the course of the next six months and asked users what they loved most about Option Impact, the Excel file kept coming up again and again as a top feature they miss. While the online tool is great, there were many cases where having the data in an Excel format made sense. We learned a lot about how companies interact with us and how we can improve our bulk export tool. As always, we listened to you, and we built it.
‍
For users who use the annual VCECS Reports, you’ll notice this year’s survey looks a little different. We simplified this version significantly to improve navigation. You can see our top regions and all the values on one page, without following hyperlinks to 20 or more worksheets. With an estimated 4,500 companies integrated and more than 450,000 employee records, this is the largest dataset the VCECS Report has ever had.
‍
We highly recommend using our online experience for the most up-to-date, real-time compensation data, especially as we launch new regions and new filtering capabilities in 2023. That being said, we hope you enjoy our 2022 VCECS Report. Please let us know how you like it!
‍
To access the report, you will need a sponsoring VC who will be happy to share the file with you.
