Most compensation questions require input from multiple sources. For example, adjusting a range involves market movement, your survey blend, and recent cycle history. Understanding merit budget outcomes requires cycle and employee records. Evaluating offer competitiveness depends on your bands, compensation philosophy, and current market rates.
We have expanded the Pave Agent's access across Pave, integrated real-time job posting data, and enabled file uploads for comprehensive analysis.
The Pave Agent remains advisory. It provides recommendations, explains its analysis, and cites sources. Your team retains full decision-making authority.
Here, discover the key updates.

Your merit cycles, in full context
The Pave Agent can now reference all of your merit cycles in Compensation Planning as well as employee compensation history.
This enables compensation teams to address common questions during and after a cycle:
- Cycle retrospectives are now completed in minutes. For example, the Agent can quickly show how increases were distributed across departments and where managers deviated from guidelines, using your cycle data and providing transparent analysis.
- Pay decisions now include historical context. When evaluating an adjustment, the Agent provides an employee's complete compensation history across all cycles, ensuring recommendations are comprehensive.
- Cross-cycle comparisons are now possible. You can compare current outcomes to previous cycles and assess whether your budget aligns with your compensation philosophy.
Compensation Planning continues to serve as the primary platform for setting guidelines and manager decisions. The Agent adds analytical insights by highlighting patterns, risks, and context, while your team makes the final decisions.

Your ranges, your methodology
The Agent now accesses Market Pricing, including your survey uploads, data rules, survey logic, and all versions of your band sets.
This is important because Market Pricing serves as your compensation system of record. Each range reflects your chosen methodology, including source selection, weighting, and adjustments. The Agent now references this record, so answers to questions such as "why is this range what it is?" or "how does our draft Engineering ladder compare to what's live today?" are based on your methodology rather than generic benchmarks.

Ask the market directly: job posting data
The Pave Agent now accesses Pave's public job posting dataset, which includes job titles, descriptions, and salary data posted by thousands of companies. This data is enriched with location and job-family details and is updated daily.
Posted salaries are now among the most dynamic compensation signals. Pay transparency laws have made ranges public, providing real-time insights into how the market describes, levels, and prices roles. The Agent can now analyze this information alongside your benchmarks.
What comp teams are using this for:
- Entering new industries or role types. If you have limited historical data, the Agent bases its analysis on current job postings from other companies.
- Improving job descriptions. The Agent can provide insights into how the market defines a role, including relevant skills, responsibilities, and levels found in current postings.
- Tracking market changes. Review how posted salary ranges for a role have evolved and assess whether your bands remain competitive.
As always, this data is informative but not prescriptive. Posting data is one of several inputs, and the Agent provides sources so you can evaluate it alongside your survey blend and Pave's real-time benchmarks.

Bring your own context: file upload
Compensation decisions extend beyond any single platform. They are informed by your compensation philosophy, equity plan, third-party survey files, and offer letters.
The Pave Agent now supports file integration in two ways:
- Immediate use: Attach a screenshot, offer letter, or policy document to any chat, and the Agent will analyze it within that session. These files are limited to the current conversation.
- Persistent context: Upload larger files, up to 100MB, that remain accessible across all chats. For example, add your compensation philosophy or third-party survey files once, and the Agent will incorporate them into all future analyses, similar to how you blend external surveys in Market Pricing.
This demonstrates what "purpose-built" means: unlike generic AI, the Pave Agent understands your leveling framework, pay philosophy, and survey blend because you have provided this information.
Built for the data you're trusting it with
Compensation data is highly sensitive, so file handling is designed with strict security measures:
- Your files remain your property. Uploads are secured to your tenant and fully separated from other customers.
- Analysis is isolated. Session files are processed in a secure environment that is deleted when the conversation ends.
- Your uploaded data is used solely to answer your questions. It is never used to train models.
